New Deal
The phrase "New Deal" became a label for the political and economical programs that Roosevelt Created to get out of the Great Depression and reform America back to the way it was. There were programs to open up new job opportunities for Americans, safety programs for the elderly, and programs that helped Americans pay for food or medicine.
Job creation
One in four Americans did not have a job by 1933. The New Deal created a number of special agencies that provided jobs for millions of workers and wages that saved millions more in their desperate families.
Investment in Public Works
The New Deal built hundreds of thousands of highways, bridges, hospitals, schools, theaters, libraries, city halls, homes, post offices, airports, and parks across America.

Every city, state, and town improved the lives of the people and public.New Dealers and the men and women who worked on New Deal programs believed they were not only serving their families and communities, but building the foundation for a great and caring society.
3 R's
Relief-Relief was aimed to give quick but temporary support to Americans who were unemployed and were in pain from the economic stress. The Federal Emergency Relief Act (FERA) was created under this R to give money or cash payments to those who needed them badly through temporary jobs. FERA's main goal was to create jobs and projects for unskilled workers. The Civil Works Administration (CWA) was also formatted by the relief idea by providing temporary jobs such as repairing roads and bridges.
Recovery- Recovery was specifically created to enhance the economy and push it back into action. Recovery programs like the Agricultural Adjustment Act (AAA) and Home Owners Loan Corporation gave the economy a temporary rebound through numerous government spending.
Reform- The reform that was put in place promised permanent programs that get rid of the chance of another depression. The citizens money, belongings and dreams were forever insured. The Social Security Administration was an independent agency of the United States government. Still being used to this day, the (SSA) was an insurance program designed to give benefits to retired, disabled and survivor individuals. People qualified for this assistance by paying social security taxes on their earnings that would help them in the near future. Citizens no longer had to fear living in poverty by the time they reached their 60’s or suffered an injury. Every American citizen has a social security number that protects their later finances which is why it is important to keep your social security number to yourself and not let others get a hold of it.
